5.1 Balloons

Regular balloons and helium balloons are different in many ways.  When you blow up a regular balloon, the pressure of bouncing air particles and compressed air give it it's shape.  When you want your balloon to float you use helium. It floats because of it's bouyancy. When you fill a balloon with helium, it is filled with particles much lighter than the particles in air thus causing it to float. Those are both every day ballons, ones we dont see that often are hot air balloons. When setting off a hot air balloon, it gets filled with hot air. Hot air particles are moving faster so there is more pressure. Because hot air has fewer particles, there is less mass and it weighs less than it would if it were filled with normal air.
